ThyForLife launches in 14 languages

Natalia Lumen of ThyForLife was born in Ukraine, the year of Chornobyl Nuclear Disaster, and is making the app accessible to all people globally.

VANCOUVER, BC ─ January 5, 2023 ─ ThyForLife Health Inc. has launched the ThyForLife Health mobile app in 14 languages, making it accessible to the millions of people with thyroid conditions worldwide. Localizing the services to local markets helps deliver on ThyForLife’s mission to empower 400M people with thyroid conditions worldwide to manage and optimize their health.

January is Thyroid Awareness Month, which prompted ThyForLife Health to translate its app into 14 different languages. The translation into various languages, including Ukrainian, is also encouraged by ThyForLife’s Founder and CEO, Natalia Lumen, who was born in Ukraine the year of the Chornobyl nuclear disaster and experienced a thyroid condition firsthand.

“I grew up being tested for thyroid disorders once a year as so many children were impacted by the radiation following the Chornobyl nuclear explosion ”, says Natalia Lumen.  “I was not diagnosed until I was 30, but I know firsthand how thyroid conditions became a norm in Ukraine. I am humbled to offer our self-management tools and resources to my fellow friends, family members, and all fellow Ukrainians.”

A ThyForLife member in the US shares her experience: “I downloaded the ThyForLife app 8 months ago and have been using it every single day since. I get reminders to take my thyroid medication several times a day, record symptoms to observe changes over time and can monitor my thyroid blood tests, such as TSH and FT4. The graphs are beautiful and now I have a much better handle on what is going on with my thyroid health.”

ThyForLife also offers a highly popular News & Community feature where members are able to safely and anonymously ask and answer questions via the community forum, participate in daily community discussions and polls, and gain access to medically-reviewed thyroid articles.

As of January, in honor of Thyroid Awareness Month, ThyForLife is now available in English, Ukrainian, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Bahasa Indonesia, and Bahasa Melayu.
